This wasn't really a planned post, it's more a spur of the moment one, but I was just thinking about how we obviously all know that J.K. Rowling is a genius in the way that she was able to plan the story of Harry Potter from the beginning and tie everything together in the end including the smallest of details. Those things that us simple-mined (I speak mainly of myself here) but enthralled readers just interpreted to be more of Rowlings great attention to detail in creating a magical world, were actually mentioned because they would serve a much greater purpose in the furthering of the story.
Even as Steve Kloves produced the screenplays and various directors and editors took to making the films, J.K. Rowling was there to make sure that Kloves included things that he might have no mind to include because he was naive to where the story was going to lead. She informed the directors and the editors of when it would be foolish to cut certain scenes from the films because it would impede the telling of the story in future ones. These film makers who started with only two or three books to work from may have felt as though they were working in the dark, not knowing where the story was going to lead, but J.K. Rowling had it all worked out in that brilliant head of hers and ensured that they were informed of the most important details to film.
There's really no point to this post other than the desire I had to express how much I admire J.K. Rowlings brain...so thank you for reading this random thought of mine and just remember...
"When I'm 80 years old and sitting in my rocking chair, I'll be reading Harry Potter. And my family will say to me, ' After all this time?' And I will say, 'Always.' -- Alan Rickman
